While charging our electric cars, we noticed significant price differences between providers. This sparked the idea to start collecting pricing data and led to the development of the first EV charging price comparison tool. And from there, everything took off.
What enables us to maintain high quality across Europe is the truly European nature of our team. Our founders come from France and Austria, bringing diverse perspectives from the very start. Today, our data management team is spread across the continent, allowing us to stay close to local markets, und understand regional differences.

In 2019, the three founders join forces to offer a platform for calculating and comparing different charging prices in Europe. Chargeprice.app was launched in the DACH region and 10,000 electric vehicle drivers use it every month.
March 2020, Chargeprice was founded. New markets were added: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland. A first user feedback tool has been set up to allow drivers to send us live information.The first application was launched on Android. The number of monthly users doubled to 20K.
2021: The Chargeprice team integrated new countries: Spain and the United Kingdom. To manage all the data on a European scale, new internal tools were developed. A first market analysis tool for mobility professionals "the Data platform" was launched. It allows B2B players to carry out analyses of recharging prices in all European countries. Chargeprice had a multi-source system for its database.The IOS application was launched and the monthly number of users on all platforms reached 50k.

Chargeprice continues its massive data management efforts at European scale. Continuously improving its tools and the volume of data, Chargeprice offers data on 500 EVs and allow the calculation of charging rates on more than 450k charging points.
New countries are launched: Italy and Portugal.
Several industry professionals have called on Chargeprice to complete their databases, to analyze the different charging price markets in Europe.

New features for users - private drivers of electric vehicles - were launched: a Premium account giving access to the "My best charging card" service and the ability to personalize one's portfolio of charging cards.
Users of Chargeprice's mobile applications were also able to receive push notifications and be informed of the best offers from mobility operators.
Finally, charging station information has been enhanced to display live status of charging stations, and users can also share their favorite charging stations from their app.
For professionals, Chargeprice offered new services for the integration and promotion of charging station networks for charging station operators, and charging tariffs for mobility operators.
At the end of the year, Chargeprice was selected by the Copenhagen Region to promote electromobility as part of the Raptor project.

In 2024, we took another major step in enhancing our services by optimizing data management and strengthening interoperability with operators. Price change alerts are now automated, and the surge in operator connections expands coverage and makes charging station access easier.
Adding on-site pricing and metadata increases transparency for users. By transitioning to OCPI 2.2, Chargeprice improves the fluidity and efficiency of the network, reinforcing the trust of its long-standing users.
At the same time, the app is experiencing strong growth, now gathering over 300,000 drivers and supporting more than 1,000 vehicle models. New features tailored to professional and Premium users—such as price visibility directly on the map—enhance the user experience.
Chargeprice is also innovating with promotional services, featuring only advantageous deals and networks to ensure users enjoy simplified and cost-effective charging
